About

Angels of the Muse is a local non-profit 501c3 community service organization  started in November of 2001. Our image - the Muse - is defined as "a person or personified force who is the source of inspiration for a creative artist." That is our goal: to be a source of inspiration to those who need it most. Angels of the Muse provides a much needed social service by "inspiring" the under-served populations of the Fargo Moorhead Area.

Angels of the Muse was established in order to provide performing arts programming from a variety of genres to the community's under-served and underprivileged population who exist in institutionalized environments, who are handicapped in some way, or otherwise isolated from society, so that they too can experience the healing power of the arts.

Since January 2002 we have been providing regular monthly performing arts programs for Nakomis Children Center in Fargo, Churches United for the Homeless, Fraser Hall, and Friendship, as well as several others.

We are continuously striving to futher our reach within the community and expand the genre of performing arts we represent.

We believe music is for everybodand your ability to perform is a gift you can share with the world.

Our Mission

Our mission is as vast as the individuals we perform with and the communities we serve. Our mission:

  • To promote a sense of serenity and well being to people who are at risk of becoming abandoned in society.

  • To enrich lives through the healing power of the performing arts.

  • To foster a sense of harmony between performing artists and their Audience, creating inspirations and connections from which all can benefit.

  • To build social awareness and compassion for people with the hope that others will do the same.

  • To awaken the artist/ spiritual connections and give hope to those we serve.

  • To form relationships through this programming, to help us cross the boundaries of age, sex, race, cultural, and socio-economic conditions.

  • To strengthen the community through the conscious connectedness and caring of its citizens.

Our Mission

Philosophy

It is the belief of the Angels of the Muse that the performing arts are important to everyone's well-being.

Due to physical, mental, or developmental disability, age, finances, or restricted living environments, some in our communities are not enabled the freedom and joy of the performing arts. It is our belief that regardless of a person's limitations or circumstances, each and every one of us deserves to experience that which so many of us take for granted.

Studies have proven that the performing arts play a monumental part in people's will to continue or change their lives through the spiritual uplifting of creative freedom. We must reach out and make available this important aspect of human needs.
